Erdogan escalate the tension between Turkey and France but withdraw later on

French President Emmanuel Macron firmly criticized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his opposition with Greece and Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean during the European Union’s “Med 7” summit and warns to impose European sanctions in Ankara because of its unlawful activities. Macron said that “The Europeans must be clear and strict, not with the Turkish people, but also with the government of President Erdogan, which has made unacceptable movements”. But, Erdogan alerted Macron to not play with Ankara. Erdogan said that “Don’t play with the Turkish people, don’t play with Turkey”. But later on, Turkey retreats the research ship Uruk Reis from the disputed area of the eastern Mediterranean. What is the real reason why Erdogan choose to withdraw from French threats?
